Austin Dog Rescue is made up purely of volunteers. Each dog is sheltered within a home in the Austin area. As such, there is no physical shelter to visit the dog at. If you think you may be interested in a particular dog now or in the future, please fill out an application form. People with approved application forms are prioritized over people who haven’t yet applied.

Virginia Woolf (UPDATED!)

Minimum Donation: $220 220 $

Virginia Woolf, Ginny to her close friends, is ready to join her forever family.  She suffered a crushed pelvis as a very young puppy and is recovering nicely from FHO surgery.

She is the sweetest little pup, snuggling is one of her favorite pastimes.  She responds very well to other dogs, is tolerant of dog savvy cats and especially interested in the parrots in her foster home.  Ginny is house-trained and sleeping through the night.

She loves her therapy walks where she wants to meet & greet everyone she encounters and definitely wants to go further.   She is not an “only throw a ball in the backyard for exercise” kind of gal; more of a “let’s go for a long walk/hike” pup.

A big secure yard is top on her list and she will not do well in an apartment.  She will do best in a single story home.

If you want to add this bit of sweetness to your life, complete an application and we can see if we are a literary match.
