Austin Dog Rescue is made up purely of volunteers. Each dog is sheltered within a home in the Austin area. As such, there is no physical shelter to visit the dog at. If you think you may be interested in a particular dog now or in the future, please fill out an application form. People with approved application forms are prioritized over people who haven’t yet applied.

Nacho is the epidemy of a "Good Boy". He loves all things in life and has learned to appreciate the big and the small. This includes living with a small child, 2 cats, 2 large female dogs and a 2lb chihuahua puppy. He exhibits good behavior with all he encounters and always takes a moment to "smell the roses".

Nacho's history is a mystery as he was picked up as a stray in the Gonzales, TX area. His scars probably have many stories to tell but that doesn't mean much to him. Nacho just wants a home with owners that will love his extremely goofy demeanor, his love for life and his contagious joy. He is both energetic and lazy. He is your "go with the flow" guy that loves car rides, hikes and just lounging around the house. He was heartworm positive but thanks to rescue he has been treated and is free of those pesky heartworms.

Nacho is crate/house trained and will make some one a fantastic buddy.
