Austin Dog Rescue is made up purely of volunteers. Each dog is sheltered within a home in the Austin area. As such, there is no physical shelter to visit the dog at. If you think you may be interested in a particular dog now or in the future, please fill out an application form. People with approved application forms are prioritized over people who haven’t yet applied.

Description

KenDoll is a very fun, loving and adorable puppy. He's playful for spurts and also takes solid naps. Ken is house-trained, crate trained and sleeps through the night. Ken does need some help with managing his water intake but that is common for puppies. The doctor says Ken is a "pocket pittie" and likely will not get much bigger. His max weight he could reach is about 40lbs. He's basically going to stay a puppy size forever! He gets along great with his foster brothers - 1 of them a human and 1 of them a big dog. We are working on leash training and he will probably need some continued help with that.

Ken enjoys playing with his squeaky toys and taking long naps after play time. He's pretty easy going, so his forever family could be someone who is gone for a period of time but can make sure he gets his energy out in the morning and evening before bed. Ken would do well with or without a playmate, although he does seem to enjoy having a companion. He's very gentle and cute with his foster toddler brother and they play chase and catch with toys. Can Ken come move in with you forever?
