Austin Dog Rescue is made up purely of volunteers. Each dog is sheltered within a home in the Austin area. As such, there is no physical shelter to visit the dog at. If you think you may be interested in a particular dog now or in the future, please fill out an application form. People with approved application forms are prioritized over people who haven’t yet applied.
Hello world! This is Beckett & he’s one adorably curious puppy!
Beckett came to Austin Dog Rescue from a rural animal control facility outside of Austin. He’s roughly four months old and looks to be a lab mix. He’s growing really quickly causing him to be quite clumsy. His antics keep his foster family laughing!
This cutie loves a good game of tug, running through the water in a baby pool, and napping. He’s very much the “monkey see, monkey do” type. He follows his foster sister and brothers’ lead in most activities and, during playtime, he understands when it’s time to calm down and relax in the sun. He also gets short lived mini zoomies before plopping down next to someone for ear rubs and tummy scratches. His foster mom refers to him as a “magic puppy” because, although he’s still very young, he lacks most of the typical high energy puppy craziness. Old soul maybe? He really is the sweetest!
Beckett is eager to please and a quick learner. It took him no time to learn words like: here, drop it, outside, & go potty. Next up - learning to walk on a leash!
This handsome pup will most likely become a large guy as he reaches adulthood so please make sure you’re ready for that.
So, if you’re looking for a big, lovable, loyal companion, Beckett is the one for you!
