Austin Dog Rescue is made up purely of volunteers. Each dog is sheltered within a home in the Austin area. As such, there is no physical shelter to visit the dog at. If you think you may be interested in a particular dog now or in the future, please fill out an application form. People with approved application forms are prioritized over people who haven’t yet applied.
Aurora is a sweet girl who won't let anything get her down!
This sweet girl is the world's most beautiful tripod and she can keep up with any dog! She loves to spend her days playing in the yard with her 3 foster siblings chasing squirrels. Plush toys and peanut butter treats are her favorite things. She loves to entertain herself with a dental chew and her teeth are pearly white.
Aurora has mostly been around adults but does well with children bigger than her. She loves to cuddle up on her humans and relax while watching some TV. She is house trained and sleeps in her crate.
She is very motivated by food, so treats will help with training. She was previously an outdoor dog, so she has learned to adjust to life with humans and other dogs indoors. She's such a smart girl and has never had an accident in her foster home.
Aurora loves car rides and is not anxious about going to the vet. She has fully healed from amputation surgery and was very brave. Her foster parents love her and feel like she would be the perfect family member in an experienced household. We want to note that small critters and cats are not her favorite since she spent most of her life outdoors.
Check out some of her pictures, she's such an Instagram model! She hopes to meet you one day.
