Austin Dog Rescue is made up purely of volunteers. Each dog is sheltered within a home in the Austin area. As such, there is no physical shelter to visit the dog at. If you think you may be interested in a particular dog now or in the future, please fill out an application form. People with approved application forms are prioritized over people who haven’t yet applied.
Hey, my name is Ada and I LOVE people; all kinds of people, big and small. I was just sprung from one of the many over crowded shelters around the state. My sister and I were whisked away to the good life.
Speaking of the good life, I really like soft beds and fluffy blankets but if you are not close to those luxuries I will use your foot as a pillow while I sleep right by you. My favorite thing in the world is to be with you no matter what you are doing. I am a pro at being loyal. They say I am a shepherd mix but my fur more like a retriever so maybe I am a little bit of both. As you can see I am gorgeous.
I like playing with toys and hanging with my dog friends. I think I would really like to go on walks and hikes, I haven't tried those yet since I just finished my shots. Every once in a while I like to get my zoomies out, the rest of the time I am a chill girl. No crazy puppy energy here. Personally I think I would make a great family dog. I love my family and all the visitors who show up to my foster house now. I am a social girl and my foster mom says I am well behaved. She gave me a gold star and a bone for being such a good dog. If you are in the market for a best friend go ahead and apply, I would love to meet you.
